Academic Programs
Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing (RAKCON) provides comprehensive nursing education for all levels of the professional nurse. It is well known as the leading nursing education institution in India and is academically related to University of Delhi through its many academic programs, which include a variety of undergraduate through doctoral degrees. The B.Sc.(Hons.) Nursing program, which prepares professional nurses for both clinical and community settings, is the flagship undergraduate program. The professional course offerings from RAKCON will help prepare graduates to enter into a high-level career in the clinical or community area of nursing.
The Faculty
- Medical/Surgical Nursing: Providing care to adults who require assistance with the treatment of medical conditions and those who are experiencing acute illness.
- Children’s Health (Pediatrics): Providing nursing care to newborns and infants, as well as to children aged from infancy up until they are of the age to enter school.
- Community Health Nursing: Providing nursing education to students working in both urban and rural locations and through the agricultural and urban health training projects, including the RFTC – Chhawla experience.
- Mental Health (Psychiatric) Nursing: Providing health care to patients requiring assistance with mental and emotional rehabilitation.
- Obstetric/Gynecological Nursing: Providing nursing services to women who are pregnant and to newborn infants.

- Qualifications
- The B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing program is only open to female applicants.
- You must have completed the 12th grade (10+2) or its equivalent in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
- It is necessary to receive at least 50% of the possible points in these four subjects.
- Each subject—theory and practical—must have been passed independently.
- The NEET-UG 2026 score is the only criterion for admission. You have to show up for NEET and take part in the Medical Counseling Committee’s (MCC) counseling sessions.
- Depending on the particular University of Delhi circular for that session, you must be at least 17 years old by September 30 or October 1 of the admission year.
- The college administration conducts a medical examination to confirm that candidates are medically fit.
- How to Apply
- The NEET-UG exam, which is administered by NTA, requires registration and attendance.
- The deadline for NEET-UG 2026 registration has been extended to March 11, 2026. The test is set for May 3, 2026.
- Register for Central University counseling on the MCC website (mcc.nic.in) as soon as the results are available (usually in June).
- Choose “B.Sc. Nursing” and complete the registration process.
- If you are given a seat, download your allotment letter and bring the original paperwork and the first-year fee (roughly ₹7,000–₹8,000, including various deposits) to the RAKCON campus in Delhi.
