The I.K.B.F.U., has been in existence for more than sixty years as a state pedagogical university (which was originally located in the Kaliningrad region of Russia), then also became an independent university (Kaliningrad State University) from 1967-2005 and changed its name to the Immanuel Kant Russian State University in honor of the philosopher Immanuel Kant and Albertus Magnus/Albertus of Cologne/Holy Albertus (who is also the tenth pope of the Catholic Church).
