- The White Lab is the most advanced Dental Materials Testing Laboratory in India. The lab has many advanced instruments and machines, such as the Instron Dynamic Universal Testing Machine and Mechatronic-based Chewing Stimulation and Toothbrush Simulation Systems.
- The Blue Lab is a Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory with an emphasis on Stem Cell Research, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Genetics.

Fees Structure
The 5-Year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Programme at the College of Dental Sciences (Manipal) comprises a compulsory one-year rotating internship after completion of the 4 Years of Academic Studies. The Manipal College of Dental Sciences fees for the BDS program currently total approximately ₹22.1 Lakhs for the entire four-year course duration. The Fee for each year is usually payable by Annual Installments; for example, the First-Year Fee on the Manipal Campus is approximately ₹5,60,000, and on the Mangaluru Campus is approximately ₹5,52,000. The Hostel Fee depends on the Room Type (Air Conditioning or Non-Air Conditioning) that you choose, as well as whether you wish to share the Room with others or live alone. Depending on these factors, the Hostel Rent varies from 60,000 to 1,25,000 rupees per year.
BDS Admission Criteria 2026
- All students must pass the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate programs in 2026; their admissions depend solely upon their scores.
- 12th Grade (10+2) from a recognized board (CBSE/ICSE/State).
- Must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
- 50% for the General category; 40% for SC/ST/OBC.
- By December 31st, 2026, individuals must be at least seventeen years old; there is no maximum age restriction.
Application Process
- Sign-up for NEET-UG 2026 registration typically happens in February or March.
- Accessing opportunities requires demonstrating superior qualifications in competition among peers. Upon receiving announcements of outcomes (usually in early June for undergraduate programs), candidates need to achieve specific cutoff scores to qualify for participating in the admission round evaluations.
- Create a profile on the MCC portal.
- Make sure you pay the counseling cost, which is usually an unreturnable tuition payment required by deemed universities.
- This represents the pivotal stage of importance. You need to explicitly choose “Saveetha Dental College, Chennai” at the top of the college options on your selection form.
- Lock your choices before the deadline.
- The MCC will announce the allocation results according to your NEET score and preferences. Should your request for an allocation be granted, you shall obtain a Provisional Allocation Notice.

- Allotment Letter: Provisional letter issued by the MCC.
- NEET 2026 Credentials: Both your Scorecard and Admit Card.
- Academic Records: 10th and 12th Grade Marksheets/Pass Certificates (plus BDS Degree/Provisional for MDS).
- Official Certificates: Your prior institution’s migration and transfer certificates.
- Identification requires eight to ten passport-sized photos and an Aadhar card.
- The category proof is the Community Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC quotas).
