- Exam centres must be available for practical examinations conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on college premises where administratively appropriate.
- Adequate facilities, ward facilities, a laboratory, and equipment (including clinical materials and patients) must be available by way of providing facilities to allow for the successful delivery of NBEMS examinations.
- Eligible and nominated faculty must be released from regular duties of the institution on time to serve as examiners for NBEMS.
- Institutions have a responsibility to communicate and coordinate activities with NBEMS to ensure efficient delivery of NBEMS examinations.
NBEMS Compensation for Exam Centres and Examiners
To address potential financial concerns, the NMC has stated that it will adequately compensate the NBEMS test centers for all expenses incurred in the testing events. In addition, faculty serving as examiners will receive approved remuneration for doing so. Therefore, there is no financial burden on the participating institution.
