  • All candidates who select an examination center outside of India, regardless of category, must pay a flat fee of ₹9500.00.
  • These amounts do not include bank transaction fees and/or GST, which may be added by the payment gateway.
  • If you change your category in the correction window (e.g., from SC/ST to General), the differential fees of ₹700.00 must be paid to validate this change.

NEET Course Fees vs NEET Exam Fees

NEET Course Fees and NEET Exam Fees are two totally different things, and yet, they are very commonly confused for one another. Here is a breakdown of the two.

NEET Exam Fees are the application fees that you pay to the National Testing Agency for taking the NEET Exam fees , which can be anywhere from ₹1,000 to ₹9,500 one-time fee, and include no registration for future NEET Exams. The NEET exam fee can be paid online. “You can easily pay the NEET exam fee online by following these steps: NTA does not accept cash or offline payments, only online payments.

Steps to Completing the Registration & Payment Process are as follows:

  • Go to neet.nta.nic.in; this is the official site.
  • Click on New Registration and fill out the registration form by providing your mobile number and email address.
  • Fill out the application for NEET by providing personal and educational details along with a choice of the exam city and category.
  • Upload the required documents, including a photograph, signature, and other documentation as specified in the instructions on the website.
  • Choose a payment option (credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI) to pay for the exam and complete your transaction.
  • Once payment has been made, you will be able to print the confirmation page, which will serve as proof of your registration.

Payment Deadline, Refund Policies

Deadline—All NEET examination fees are due by 11:59 PM on March 8, 2026; failure to pay by that date will result in rejection of your application, and you will not receive an extension of time to complete your application.

Refund Policy – The NEET exam fee is non-refundable and cannot be refunded under any circumstances after payment has been made. This includes instances where an individual later decides not to sit for the exam, has their application denied or withdraws from an exam.

Documents Required Before Payment

Before completing the NEET application and paying the NEET fees to access your NEET application, ensure that the following documents are ready:

  • A photo of a valid identity proof 
  • A photo of the class 10 Marksheet (used for verifying date of birth)
  • A photo of the class 12 Marksheet or a photo of your passing certification
  • A photo of a recently taken passport-sized photo (according to NTA specifications—white background; child’s face clearly visible)
  • A written signature submitted by you (what you wrote on work papers to remember who you were).
  • If applicable to your circumstance;
  • Your personal or parent’s bank payment information to make payments;
  • Your active phone number and active email address to provide a payment confirmation message upon obtaining successful payment; and

Common Mistakes While Paying Fees

Many common mistakes occur each year that are illustrated below:

  • Do not select the wrong category. This is the most serious and costly mistake that could lead to your application being rejected and/or fees being refunded.
  • Do not wait until the last minute to pay. Server volume increases significantly during the last few minutes leading up to submission. Pay for your application fees at least 2 to 3 business days prior to the file deadline if possible.
  • Failure to download the confirmation receipt after you’ve successfully submitted your application is equivalent to not having evidence of an application submission. Always download and save a copy as soon as possible.
  • Do not use an unstable internet connection to make your payment. If your internet is dropped, the payment transaction will not occur correctly; therefore, you will miss the opportunity to apply successfully.
  • Do not allow another party to use your or your parent’s payment account to submit a fee to you.

The NEET course fee structure and costs can vary significantly depending on many factors such as the type of program, the institute’s reputation, program duration, and the city they are in. Below is a realistic breakdown for 2025-26:

For Coaching in an offline classroom setting.

  1. Top institutes like Allen, Aakash, and Narayana charge ₹1.5–₹2.5 lakh per year for classroom coaching. Two-year programs can cost ₹2–₹3.5 lakh.
  2. Kota (with accommodation and food) Total combined costs for students coming to Kota can range from ₹3.00 to ₹5.00 Lakhs.
  3. Online Coaching: Coaching by Apps like Physics Wallah, Unacademy, Vedantu costs between: ₹25,000 to ₹80,000 annually; students will apply estimates of ₹2,500-₹8,000 monthly to complete these programs through online classes via live-streaming or recorded sessions.
  4. Repeater/Dropper batches consist of one-year program for previous NEET test takers and require students to pay: ₹50,000-₹2,00,000. Usually have more classes and mock exams to prepare you better than regular tuition.
  5. Crash Courses are usually 2-3 months long, and cost between ₹15,000-₹50,000
